This Privacy Policy explains how Scuderia General Trading L.L.C (“Kartshop”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit kartshop.me or buy from us.

1. Who we are

We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

2. Data we collect

  • Account and order data:
    • name, billing and shipping address, email, phone number
    • order history, messages you send us
    • return, exchange and cancellation requests, including the photos and inspection reports linked to them
  • Payment data:
    • Payments are processed by our payment provider, WooPayments (by Automattic, powered by Stripe).
    • We receive only the payment status and limited details (e.g. card type, last four digits).
    • We never see or store your full card number or security code.
  • Technical data:
    • IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, approximate location (country/city)
    • This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see § 6).
  • Newsletter data: your email address, if you subscribe through “Join Our List”.
  • Catalogue requests: your email address and the brand you choose when you download a catalogue, plus the date, the IP address and the text of the consent you gave, and the date you confirmed your email. We use them to send you the catalogue and, with your consent, occasional news and offers. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
  • Communications: anything you send us through the contact form, email, phone or WhatsApp.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. Orders must be placed by an adult (see Terms & Conditions § T2).

3. Why we use your data

4. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with parties that need it to provide our service:

  • Shipping: DHL Express and other couriers, for delivery and customs clearance.
  • Payments: our payment provider WooPayments (by Automattic, powered by Stripe), including when we answer a payment dispute (chargeback).
  • Business systems:
    • our order-management and accounting system (Odoo, hosted by Odoo S.A.)
    • website hosting and CDN (Hostinger)
    • website security (Wordfence)
    • email delivery (Brevo, by Sendinblue SAS, France)
  • Analytics and advertising (only with your consent): Google (Analytics, Ads, Merchant Center), Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Automattic (Jetpack/WordPress.com site statistics).
  • Authorities: when required by law, e.g. the Federal Tax Authority, customs or law enforcement.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Some of these providers store data outside the UAE (for example in the European Union or the United States). When data leaves the UAE, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards as required by UAE data protection law.

6. Cookies

We use:

  • Essential cookies: cart, checkout, login, security, currency selection. The site cannot work without them.
  • Analytics and marketing cookies: Google Analytics and Google Ads, the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) pixel, Jetpack site statistics. They are used only if you accept them in the cookie banner.

You can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings link at the bottom of the page, or delete cookies in your browser.

7. How long we keep it

  • Order, invoice and accounting records: for the period required by UAE tax and accounting law (up to seven years).
  • Account data: until you close your account.
  • Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.
  • Catalogue requests: until you unsubscribe; we keep a record of your consent and of the unsubscribe as proof.
  • Contact messages: up to 24 months.
  • Analytics data: according to the retention settings of the provider (typically 14 months).

8. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • access your data
  • correct it
  • delete it (unless we must keep it by law)
  • restrict or object to its processing
  • receive a copy in a portable format
  • withdraw consent

Write to sales@kartshop.me. We will reply within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office.

9. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and security monitoring. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your data, we will inform you and the authorities as required by law.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
