Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to every use of kartshop.me and to every order placed on it. By placing an order you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and our Return Policy for Online Purchases.

T1. Seller

T2. Who can buy

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. Karting equipment for young drivers must be ordered by a parent or guardian.

T3. Products and availability

• We sell karting chassis, engines, spare parts, telemetry, tools and racewear, including official OTK products (Tony Kart, Kosmic, Exprit, Redspeed, EOS, CS55, LN, Gillard).
• Photos are illustrative. Colours, stickers and packaging may differ slightly.
• Stock levels are synchronised with our warehouse but can change quickly. If an item you ordered turns out to be unavailable, we will contact you and offer a replacement, a new delivery date or a full refund.
• It is your responsibility to check that a part is compatible with your kart, engine and class, and that it complies with the technical and homologation rules of the championship you race in (e.g. CIK-FIA, Rotax Max, national ASN rules). If you are unsure, contact us before ordering.
• A part that does not fit your kart, engine or class is not a defect. It can be returned only as a voluntary return, under the conditions of the Return Policy.

T4. Prices and payment

• Prices are shown in UAE Dirham (AED) excluding 5% VAT. VAT is added at checkout and shown before you pay.
• Prices in other currencies (OMR, BHD, SAR, KWD) are for reference only. You are charged in AED, and your bank may apply its own exchange rate and fees.
• Shipping costs are shown at checkout before you pay.
• Accepted payment methods are shown at checkout (credit and debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay).
• If a price is clearly wrong because of a technical or typing error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, even after confirmation.

T5. Orders and contract

• After you place an order you receive an email acknowledging it. This is not yet an acceptance.
• The contract is formed when we confirm dispatch, or confirm a pre-order in writing.
• We may refuse or cancel an order, with a full refund, for example in case of suspected fraud, an unavailable product or a pricing error.

T6. Pre-orders and special orders

• Some products (e.g. new-season chassis and items not held in stock) are ordered from the manufacturer specifically for you.
• A deposit may be required. Delivery dates given by the manufacturer are estimates.
• If you cancel after we have placed the order with the manufacturer, we keep from your deposit the costs we cannot recover (manufacturer cancellation fees, freight, duties and items the manufacturer will not take back), up to the full deposit. We refund any remaining balance.
• Special-order and pre-order items cannot be returned once delivered, unless they are defective, damaged or not as described (see the Return Policy).

T7. Delivery

• Orders can currently be collected from our warehouse in Dubai Investment Park (local pickup). Courier delivery within the UAE and to other GCC countries is offered at checkout when available, with its cost shown before you pay.
• Delivery times are estimates and start from dispatch.
• For deliveries outside the UAE, the customer is the importer of record and pays any customs duties, import VAT and clearance fees requested at delivery.
• Ownership and risk pass to you on delivery.
• Check the parcel when it arrives. Note any visible damage on the courier’s delivery receipt, and report damage or missing items within 48 hours, with photos, to sales@kartshop.me.

T8. Cancellations and returns

• Cancellations before dispatch are free.
• Returns, exchanges and refunds are governed by our Return Policy for Online Purchases, which is part of these Terms. Engines, electronics and parts that have been opened, powered on or fitted cannot be returned for change of mind.
• If you open a payment dispute (chargeback) for a return that the Return Policy excludes, we will provide your bank with the order record, the delivery confirmation, your acceptance of these Terms at checkout and the inspection report.
• Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the UAE Consumer Protection Law.

T9. Motorsport risks and correct use

• Karting is a dangerous sport and can cause serious injury or death.
• Racing parts are designed for use on closed circuits, by trained drivers, with appropriate safety equipment.
• Parts must be installed, adjusted and inspected by a competent mechanic, following the manufacturer’s instructions and torque values.
• Racing components wear by design and have a limited service life. Their performance and durability depend on how they are used, maintained and set up.

T10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law:

• We are not liable for damage, injury or loss caused by:
  • incorrect installation, modification, lack of maintenance, or use outside the manufacturer’s specifications
  • crashes, contact or normal wear in competition
  • use of a part that is incompatible with, or not homologated for, your vehicle or class
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost race results, prize money, entry fees, travel or track-time costs.
• Our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for that order.

These limits do not apply where liability cannot be excluded by law, including liability for a defective product under the UAE Consumer Protection Law.

T11. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.

T12. Intellectual property

• The website content (texts, photos, logos, design) belongs to Scuderia General Trading L.L.C or to its suppliers and licensors (including OTK Kart Group and its brands).
• You may not copy or reuse it without written permission.

T13. Personal data

We process your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

T14. Governing law and disputes

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai.
• Before starting any proceedings, please contact us: most issues are solved quickly.
• Any dispute that cannot be settled amicably falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai. This does not affect any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.

T15. Changes and language

• We may update these Terms. The version in force when you place your order applies to that order.
• These Terms are published in English and Arabic. In case of any conflict between them, the English version prevails.
